Continuing from the lessons in ADI from the previous semester, ADII hones the methods of analysis, abstraction and synthesis of the design process. We students learn through the importance of User and Context, where the use of precedent studies and conceptualization are utilized to meet user requirements and interact with the surrounding environment.

Diagramming Architectural Principles

In a group of 6, we were to analyze the design principles and elements of an assigned building, then convey our findings through a series of simple diagrams.

Designing with Architectural Principles and Materiality

Based on the defined elements from the previous project above, we conceptualized an architectural folly as a trio. Our end product conveyed the desire for connection.

Designing with Architectural Principles, Materiality, Context and User

Firstly, we conducted a site visit to our macrosite as a large group task. Secondly, we decided on and analyzed our chosen microsites. Finally, we designed a Solitary Haven that would accomodate the needs of two users and respond to its environment.
