As part of the Heritage and Conservation extension of modules within Taylor's Architecture degree course, this module aimed to introduce us to the difficulties faced in the field of conservation, as well as the interconnection between architecture and tourism.

Architectural Conservation & Tourism in Malaysia & Abroad

Individually, we were to conduct a comparative case study observing two similar heritage buildings. One building was to be a local gazetted building, while the other was to be from overseas.

Essay Writing

I had to write an essay regarding the topic of Heritage Impact on the local people living near the heritage site, highlighting the issues encountered with heritage conservation in Malaysia

Historic Zone Rejuvenation

In groups of 5, we were to conduct a site analysis of the Taiping Heritage Trail and suggest a new trail masterplan that would help boost the tourism and conservation of Taiping's heritage.
